Messages and how the service works

When you send a message, we process the recipient phone number and the message content you enter so that we can deliver the SMS. The message content is user content that you provide; we use it only to deliver the message, to check it for abuse and to enforce our Terms of Use.

Messages are sent through our own phone and SIM gateway. The service is send-only: we do not receive replies. Free messages are placed in a queue (about 10 minutes) before they are sent.

You may optionally give us an email address. We use it only if you provide it, for example to contact you about your message or a payment.

Abuse prevention and law enforcement

To keep the service safe we use Cloudflare Turnstile bot checks and ThumbmarkJS browser fingerprinting, together with your IP address and device and browser information, for abuse and fraud prevention and to enforce rate limits. We do not use these signals for advertising.

We may log activity, block or ban users, numbers or devices, and keep records of messages and related technical data where needed to investigate abuse. We may cooperate with law enforcement and disclose information to them where the law requires it or where we believe it is necessary to protect people or our service.

Anyone who receives a message from us can block future messages to their number on our opt-out page.

Analytics, cookies and similar technologies

We use PostHog to understand how the service is used. PostHog, Cloudflare and ThumbmarkJS may use cookies, local storage or similar browser technologies, or collect device and browser information, as described above. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

Where the law requires your consent for analytics or similar technologies, we rely on it, and you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us or by adjusting your browser settings.
